After a lot of speculation as to who will star
opposite the Baadshah in his next home production, we are glad that we will get
to see SRK
and Deepika together on screen again soon. First it was Jennifer Winget
Grover of Saraswatichandra fame and then it was Sushant Singh Rajput’s
girlfriend Ankita Lokhande who were rumoured to play SRK’s leading lady, as
Farah was looking for a fresh face.
Later, it was Katrina Kaif whom Shahrukh was rooting
for, especially after their movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan did well.
Deepika has been finalised now. She debuted in SRK’s
production Om Shanti Om that was directed by Farah. So she is Farah’s baby, so
to speak.
Happy New Year is to go on floors in September 2014.
The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah and reportedly
Prithviraj who was last seen opposite Rani Mukerji in Aiyya and also in a
supporting role in Aurangzeb.
