Priyanka Chopra demands whopping Rs 6 crores for 7-minute gig for New Year

‘New Year’s Eve’ is one such occasion when people from the entertainment arena get golden opportunity to mint money. With actors, comedians etc charging high amount for their New Year’s performances, it seems Priyanka Chopra will soon join this league.

According to a tabloid, the 31-year-old actress, who has never performed at a December 31 event, has agreed to perform at a New Year’s Eve party in Chennai. The leggy lass has apparently demanded for Rs 6 crore to shake a leg.

“The organisers of the event have been in talks with Priyanka for the past couple of weeks. They were eager to rope her in as she is popular among the youth. So far she has not performed for a December 31 show, so it was a big deal to get her to say yes,” a source said.

On the other hand, the organisers of the event feel that the amount is too high for a seven-minute gig.

“The arrangers felt that for a seven-minute performance minus singing, it was a huge amount. Eventually, however, they were ready to pay as they felt they would recover the cost in tickets. The marketing team has already started the promotion for the event,” the tabloid quoted a source as saying.

Hrithik Roshan - I wanted to play the villain in Krrish 3 but was not allowed!

The script of "Krrish 3" has been such that it challenged each and every character and department, says Bollywood Actor Hrithik Roshan, who plays the title role in the superhero film, and hopes it meets the audience's expectations when it comes out November 4.

"The script has challenged each and every character and department. It took my father three years to make it. He said that the film must be able to stand by itself. It was a big challenge for all of us. Hopefully, we have met the expectations," said Hrithik sharing details about the making of the film.

He was speaking at the trailer launch of "Krrish 3".

Talking about the third installment in the "Krrish" franchise after "Koi... Mil Gaya" and "Krrish", the film's director-producer Rakesh Roshan said he wanted to create a super villian through the movie.

"In 'Krrish', I had established how a superhero was formed. I had to create a super villian through this film. To think about him was tough. He needed to have powers to fight the superhero," he said.

The villain has been played by Vivek Oberoi.

Hrithik said: "Our list was very small as it had only one name - Vivek. I wanted to play the negative character, but I was not allowed to. I could not have done what Vivek has done. He has done an amazing job," said Hrithik.

Talking about Hrithik's growth, Rakesh Roshan said he is still sincere.

"He was so sincere in the first film. Now he has become a star, but his honesty, punctuality and sincerity have not changed," said the proud father.

 While the first trailer of Rakesh Roshan’s ambitious superhero flick Krrish 3 starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi will come out with Chennai Express on August 8, the makers have just released the logo of the film.
