Grand Masti stay lifted

Just two days after it stayed the release of Hindi film Grand Masti in cinema theatres in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh, the Punjab and Haryana High Court Thursday lifted the order.

The order, imposed by a single judge bench on Tuesday, was vacated by a division bench.

The court had earlier stayed the release of the film, scheduled to be released across India on Friday, September 13, after a lawyer filed a petition complaining about its vulgar dialogues and obscene content. He said that the movie promos were degrading women and that the content and actions in the film were indecent.

Starring Bollywood actors and actresses Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani, Grand Masti is a sequel of the Masti, which was released in 2004.

In his petition, the lawyer sought directions for the Central Board of Film Certification to reconsider its approval granted to allow screening of the film.

Kareena's Saree to be Auctioned

Despite being in the midst of promotional activities for her upcoming next, Bollywood's Numero Uno Kareena Kapoor has jetted off to London, where she will join Saif Ali Khan as the duo will together attend an auction hosted by the Pataudi family, to raise funds for charity.

The actress will auction her signature 'Chammak Challo' saree from the film 'Ra.One' - proceeds of which will go towards a hospital, whose endeavour has been to help visually challenged people.

The auction, to be held in London, will see author Jeffrey Archer wielding the hammer. Apart from Kareena's saree, the auction will also see a tee signed by footballer Lionel Messi and a bat autographed by Rahul Dravid to name a few.

Bollywood designer Anil Cherian found dead at age of 43

Bollywood designer Anil Cherian has been found dead.

The 43 year-old had been working on Bold Bollywood, a film inspired by the life of Jiah Khan, who committed suicide earlier this year.

According to The Times of India, Cherian had reportedly attended a party at a resort in Gorai, near Mumbai.

Staff at the resort were reportedly drawing water from the well when they discovered Cherian's body on Monday (September 9).

"The well is 100 to 150ft from the room where the party was held. The resort exit was not brightly lit, so it is possible Anil veered towards the well. We are probing whether it was an accident or if there was any foul play," said Senior Inspector Deepak Bagwe of Gorai police.

Actor and television presenter Shekhar Suman said that news of Cherian's death was "unbelievable".

"He was not only my stylist, but also a dear friend," said Suman. "He was full of life."

An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday (September 10), but the cause of death is yet to be established.

Priyanka Chopra’s loss is Shraddha Kapoor’s gain!

Earlier, there were talks about Bollywood Celebrities Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor coming together once again onscreen with Milan Talkies. But now we hear director Tigmanshu Dhulia has roped in Shraddha Kapoor opposite Sasha as he wanted to cast a fresh pair in his film. Imran Khan and PC were the original choice for the film considering the two have never worked together. But after the Delhi Belly actor left the project, Shahid was brought aboard. The makers had no other option but to replace the Exotic babe since she has already worked with the Kapoor lad in Kaminey and Teri Meri Kahaani. On the other hand, rumours are rife that the Desi girl walked out of Milan Talkies citing date issues.
