Jiah Khan's Suicide on Silver Screen

Bollywood Actress Jiah Khan’s mysterious suicide is planned to hit the silver screen with film stars well-known Marathi actress Tejaa Deokar playing the role of Jiah Khan

Without revealing much, Tejaa said, “Yes we are making Nati on the life of an actress who is frustrated with her career and especially her love life. It is a journey of a woman and the circumstances that compel to her commit suicide. I have to lose a lot of weight in the first half of the film and I am rigorously working on it. In the second half, I need to put on weight. I am also working on the stories of different models and actress who have committed suicide in the past.”

On being asked if the film is based on the recent Jiah Khan’s suicide case, Tejaa replied, “I believe performing the character will create no controversy at all. Why should I bother to take permission from her mom? Had it been some great politician or someone who may have done something for our country, then I would care to seek permission. If it were someone like Indira Gandhi, then we would definitely have sought permission. Also, my producers will have to look into all this. I as an actor need to just do my job.”

About Suraj Pancholi, she says, “Both hands are needed to clap. While in love we cannot blame the other.” Adding about her own love life she says, “My man is not from Bollywood at all. But I am very lucky to have someone so understanding and trustworthy. But, I must confess I would never think of committing suicide, no matter how tough things get. Life is full of problems we need to sort them out.”

Nati is being directed by debutant Yogesh Jadhav and is all set to hit the screens in the month of October. Some sources also claim the director is on the hunt for an actor who looks similar to Suraj Pancholi.

Sooraj Pancholi’s ex-girlfriend defends him in Jiah Khan Suicide case

Sooraj Pancholi’s ex-gril girlfriend - Janvi Turakhia - has finally broken her silence on Jiah Khan suicide case. She has asserted that she never found her boyfriend of five years, abusive or violent.

Turakhia - who was in a long-term relationship with Sooraj - is shocked to hear the claims made against him of abetting Jiah Khan`s suicide. She said that all the allegations are false and that he is just being framed.

“Whatever I am reading and hearing in the papers and TV, it is like they are talking about another person altogether. Of course my heart goes out to Jiah’s family. But I can’t believe a word of what they are saying about Sooraj! This Sooraj, who is supposed to have done these awful things to that poor girl, is not the Sooraj I know. My Sooraj is incapable of violence against anyone. He hates any kind of confrontation. Whenever we fought I was the one who was more aggressive. He would quietly leave the room. If he’s angry or upset he likes to be on his own to work his way out of the problem,” she said.

“And not just Suraj. I am very fond of Aditya uncle and Zarina aunty too. They are like family to me and my mother,” she added.

When asked point blank if Suraj Pancholi ever ill-treated her, Janvi promptly said, “No! Never! Do you think I’d have been with him for nearly six years if he ever did anything like that? When I read the news accusing him of physical abuse and what-not, I was too shocked for words. Sooraj can never behave like this. If he was that guy, I would have seen that side of him at least once in all those years we were together.”

Janvi continued to defend her former boyfriend Suran Pancholi by saying “I don’t think any girl knows him better than I do. It’s impossible to dislike Sooraj. We were friends for the longest time even before we started dating. Even after we broke up we remained friends. Our families are also close. My mom loves Sooraj like her own son. When he would come home she would cook for him. Sooraj’s biggest weakness is his over-emotional nature. He gets upset by any hint of unpleasantness. To inflict pain or violence is unthinkable for him. He is one of the most soft-hearted souls I know. He not only treats his parents, sister and close friends with utmost love and affection, he treats even his domestic help, staff and driver like family.”

Cops get report on alleged abortion Suraj Pancholi will go to jail till June 27

Suraj Pancholi, charged with the abetment of actress Jiah Khan's suicide, has been sent to judicial custody and will go to jail till June 27, a Mumbai court ruled today.

The medical reports related to actress Jiah Khan's alleged abortion have been received from a hospital were the procedure was conducted, the police said here on Wednesday, June 12.

"There have been no new developments so far. We have received the medical reports from the hospital where the foetus was aborted," said a police officer.

In court, Mr Pancholi's lawyer argued that the letter found after Ms Khan's death does not name his client.

Ms Khan's mother, Rabiya Amin Khan, alleges that the six-page letter written by the young actor proves that she was driven to suicide by a messy love affair. "The letter does not have a name, so who it is addressed to is something you can only ask Jiah. But because of the incidents in the past and what she told me, all of these things point out to Suraj Pancholi," she said to reporters on Monday (June 10, 2013).
